Outstanding Canadians recognized at Toronto Benefit gala that funds scholarships for UWI students
Most students in the Caribbean aspire to pursue post-secondary education, the majority at the 76-year-old University of the West Indies (UWI) whose alumni serve at every level and in every sphere of operation.
The reality is that many of these bright young people will not set foot on a university/college campus or complete their programs because of a paucity of financial resources.
