UWI Toronto Benefit Awards 2025 celebrates excellence and empowerment - Caribbean Camera
The list of Canadians, to be honoured at this year’s Toronto Benefit Awards of the University of the West Indies (UWI), is ethnically and professionally diverse.
Diversity in recipients always has been a hallmark of the event, which is now in its 16th year.
The awards’ ceremony combines as a fundraiser to support the financing of academic scholarships for Caribbean students at UWI, one of the world’s top universities. Since the inception of the event, 850 scholarships have been provided.
